Community Partnership Developer



Founded in 1978, TEAD, Equestrian Association for the Disabled is a registered non profit that provides Riding as a proven form of therapy to children and adults with a disability in Hamilton and surrounding areas.

This part time position will report to the Executive Director. It is TEAD’s goal to establish a secure financial base to continue to expand our therapy program.

 

 

Hours of Work: 20 hours. Flexible dependant upon achieving goals

 

Location of work: TEAD office to start. The potential candidate could work from a home office with some travel to TEAD.  Travel to calls and meetings with potential donors will be a large part of the job. Own transportation is essential.

 

The Community Partnership Developer has a primary responsibility for developing new and continuing support and sponsorships from within the Community for all aspects of the TEAD program;

Horse care

Rider scholarships

Summer Camp

Arena maintenance

Property improvements

Capital improvements

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·          Identify and develop relationships with Corporations and foundations that support TEAD’s work.

·          Continue to ensure appropriate donor recognition and on going stewardship.

·          Development of a marketing package and plan for current and new donors

·          Identify and develop grant proposals

·          Deliver effective presentations to sponsors and the community

·          Showcase TEAD’s work to the community through developing a high public profile

·          Expand existing fund raising initiatives

·          Effectively communicate with donors on a regular basis via several methods

·          Communicate between the staff, volunteers and riders.

·          Keep all fund raising and special event information up to date on the website.

 

Required Expertise:

·          Self Starter with ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively within a strong team.

·          Strong networking skills

·          Exceptional communication and people skills

·          Exceptional presentation and written skills.

·          Strong computer skills

·          Demonstrated previous experience in a similar position

·          Demonstrated results from managing a fund raising plan.

·          Ability to manage multiple projects from implementation to completion.

·          Experience working with volunteers
